In general, we are interested in modelling and mining complex networks, including aspects such as community detection, hypergraphs, structural and classical node embeddings, embeddings of entire graphs, temporal and out of distribution aspects.

- One specific challenge we would like to propose is to investigate distributed trade networks supported by party-matching algorithms that emerge in economic exchange happening over the Internet. The objective would be to investigate which designs of market mechanisms of making contracts over such networks lead to efficient equilibria and, at the same time, ensure inclusiveness and fairness with respect to sensitive attributes of the actors involved in the trading process.
